Don Wertzberger's focus for over 20 years has been Public Safety Architecture. Don is involved in Needs Assessments, Planning and Design for Public Safety projects including Police, Law Enforcement, Fire, City Halls, and Municipal Courts. With a unique understanding of the functional and operational complexities inherent in Public Safety Facilities coupled with a passion for design excellence he places special emphasis on the union of function and design.
Don's approach emphasizes a collaborative process, bringing designers, engineers, consultants, client representatives, and users into the process early. He is known by his clients as responsive and driven by the pursuit of quality. These strengths are what guide him through each project, always challenging and motivating team members to design buildings that respect their civic and community roots, while addressing the functionally-driven demands of these project types that meet the client's vision and budget.
Don recently was hired as Project Manager for the City of North Richland Hills on a new 185,000 SF Police / City Hall / Courts / Fire municipal complex.
